Rawlings' new ST5 football features top grade Horween leather with Tanned-in-Tac, 3-ply lining, neoprene cell foam backing for an improved "soft-touch", patented double walled polyurethane bladder for excellent air retention, sewn in Kevlar thread, and laced with "griptite" rawhide. This construction makes the football easier to handle in cold and wet weather footbal games. The ball is even more specialized because it resists water absorption from rain, snow, and dew on the grass.
